How do I create a MySQL Database?
| In your control panel, you should be able to follow the following procedure to configure a database.
Procedure - Add a Database User

Click on the menu if it is not already expanded.

Click on the submenu if it is not already expanded.

Click on the ◊ Users item.
-
You should now be looking at the Website Management controls in the main content area.

Enter the desired username into the Username text box.

Enter the desired password into the Password text box.
-
Enter the same password again in the Confirm Password text box.
-
Click the Add button.
-
You will see the following message at the top of the screen: » User added successfully
Procedure - Add a Database

Click on the menu if it is not already expanded.

Click on the submenu if it is not already expanded.

Click on the ◊ Databases item.
-
You should now be looking at the Website Management controls in the main content area.
-
Enter your desired database into the Database name text box.

Click the Add button.
-
You will see the following message at the top of the screen: » Database created successfully.
Procedure - Add Database Permissions

Click on the menu if it is not already expanded.
-
Click on the submenu if it is not already expanded.
-
Click on the ◊ Databases item.
-
You should now be looking at the Website Management controls in the main content area.

Click the Manage Users button next to the Database you wish to edit.
-
Select the user you wish to add permissions to from the User dropdown.
-
Check the permissions you wish to apply to this user.

Localhost can remain in the When Connecting from text box, unless you’re connecting from another computer. In that case, enter the hostname or IP address that it will be connecting from.

Click the Add button.
-
You will see the following message at the top of the screen: » Permissions updated successfully
